🧭 1．Updated Standards under the New Policy

The main revision points for the Business Manager visa are as follows:

①Capital Requirement: Raised from ¥5 million → to ¥30 million

②Management Experience / Educational Requirement: At least 3 years of managerial experience, or possession of a master’s degree or higher in management or a related field

③Employment Requirement: Mandatory employment of at least one full-time staff member

④Japanese Language Requirement: Either the applicant or the full-time staff must have proficiency equivalent to CEFR B2 (e.g., JLPT N2 or higher)

⑤Business Plan Verification: Obligation to obtain expert confirmation of the feasibility of the business plan

These revisions mean that merely registering a company will no longer suffice.
Applicants will now need to demonstrate a comprehensive and practical management structure, combining education, experience, personnel, language skills, and a sound operational plan.
